The creative insight for this piece of instrumental art came when I was showing a friend some of the artwork I had already created.
As my friend walked into the room where I had several pieces already hanging on the wall I caught the amazement in her eyes, and then a puzzled look appeared as she asked me how on earth I had made the connection between refuse, music and art to make a functional, electronic art instrument.
The question she had raised made me think of the many times in history man had found the connection between imagination and realisation, and how many people had viewed that realisation and wondered how those connections were made.
This pondering brought me to the amazing, mysterious Moai statues on Easter Island and the multitude of questions surrounding the how when and why these massive statues appeared.
When Creative beauty takes hold of the heart and is channelled into realisation, it will always invoke questions from a fascinated viewer concerning the how when and why, and the answer can be still a mystery.
