The inspiration for this Instrumental Artwork came from observations of our family dog, and the unwavering love and loyalty that he provides to his pack.
I was looking to create a Sandman Bass that reflected some of the majestic qualities the animal kingdom possesses, and I found a beautiful cigar box with a lion image on the top of the box. This image got me thinking about my pet dog and the lessons I have learned from his nature.
Whatever we put in to anything we do, the outcome is reflected in the finished product. In the garden when we feed, water and nurture a plant when it is young, it will blossom into a vibrant, healthy adult plant because of our efforts.
The positive teachings and nurturing love we give to our children will be reflected in their attitude towards life when they are adults.
The way in which a dog behaves is a reflection of how it has been treated. In society there is a willingness to blame a dog for its behavior and not the owner.
The scaremongering and dog attacks reported in the media suggest a separation of responsibility when it comes time to apportion blame.
It is time to stop the abuse of all sentient beings on this planet.
The blame and responsibility for bad behaviour lies squarely with the human perpetrator and he should be held accountable for his actions, not the vehicle in which he used to carry out those atrocities.
