The inspiration for this Instrumental Artwork came from a box given to me by a mutual Jimi Hendrix fan, and the admiration we each have for the song “RED HOUSE” he recorded with the Experience in 1966.
The song is quintessentially blues through and through, and has been covered since 1966, by anybody worth their salt in the Blues world.
The Brick “Red” House cigar box provided the pre-painted canvas to lock down the flaming visuals the song invokes in my mind.
I wanted to create a Ukulele large enough to provide a wide range of sound, yet something small enough to carry around on bus, train, or plane.
I added a couple of beautiful Hula lady inlays into the mix because I knew Jimi had a fondness for beauty.
