I made this Instrumental Artwork in honour of the Musician Jimi Hendrix, and gave it an Island paradise theme so he could rest up and play.
JJ Cale and Jimi Hendrix are my favourite musicians, so I am always trying to include these two greats of the music world in my life.
When I saw a vintage Jimi Hendrix coin in the markets on Waiheke Island I had to have it and when I picked it up i inserted it into the headstock.
I put the cigar box stickers upside down when played right handed and the right way up when played left handed, and the fret marker on the right side just to mix things up.
Jimi Hendrix and JJ Cale were supreme musicians who loved music and art; and still provide inspiration to many musicians and artists around the world today.
