The inspiration behind the design for this Instrumental Artwork came from the Greek philosopher Heraclitus and his belief that change is the only constant in the universe.
Using this doctrine, I believe that man and his attitude towards the environment; waste and his fellow man, will also improve and shift towards a more enlightened position.
I wanted to make this particular artwork using items from all corners of the world so that when they were put together, they would represent a global unification with a new direction {in this case sound} of clarity and purpose.
The 17th century key was from France, the pickup from turkey, the neck wood from Africa, the box from the Dominican Republic and various other items from the America’s, all came together to make not only this Instrumental Artwork, but also the artist a truly well travelled representation of our beautiful planet.
