The inspiration for this Instrumental Artwork came from the idea of the ugly duckling becomes the swan story.
I had gathered what seemed like a particularly ugly set of items, a wrong sized box, an old rusty hinge, a sinkhole cover, an antique key and what looked like a tired, unsightly and maybe even broken pickup from the sixties.
Fearing the worst i decided to put them all together into one guitar, that hopefully could represent a beat up old box car carriage i saw attached to a train passing under a bridge I was on one day.
The train engine looked new and so did all the carriage’s except the last one which was so beat up and dilapidated I wondered if it would even hold together for the journey it was on that day.
When I put together this guitar I was still unsure weather it would even work, but when I plugged it in the most beautiful, strong, rustic blues sound you could imagine came bellowing forth.
A blues players dream, this guitar became not only a swan, but a majestic, swooning swan, full of beautiful vibration and to me a life lesson of the finest quality.
