CIGAR BOX GUITARS / CBGS

FIRST LEFT

This instrumental artwork was the second piece I made, the first artwork was a right handed cigarbox guitar, and I wanted to make one for the lefties.

I had an idea to build a sturdy, powerful guitar, that wouldn’t look out of place in the background of Daniel Boone’s hut in the wilderness.

The simple lines of the neck stock and soft colors of the cigarbox blended well with the Matai Heartwood hue, and helped to accentuate the cabin feel of the artwork. Three Threepence coins adorn the canoe shaped headstock design as cargo.

Unlike today, items were built to last in the pioneer days of a nation, and this instrumental artwork is a testament to that ethos, and has the Humbuckers to prove it.

Bigsmoke Guitars are built to stand the test of time and provide an instrumental artwork to the frontiersman with the strength to withstand all onslaughts.
